What gold jewellery we accept

We accept all gold jewellery, rings, chains, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and pendants, in any condition, whether broken, tangled or unworn. You don't need hallmarks; our XRF assay confirms the carat of every piece.

Jewellery is valued by weight and carat against the live LBMA spot price. If a piece contains gemstones, we exclude their weight from the assessment as most gemstones have little onward value. We do advise you remove them before sending your jewellery to us if you wish to keep any gemstones, or they can be returned to you for an administration fee of £15.

Getting the most for your gold jewellery

We buy all kinds of gold jewellery: rings, chains, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants and brooches, in every common carat from 9ct to 24ct. Pieces do not need to match or be in good condition, since the value comes from the gold content rather than the design. Hallmarks help, but our XRF assay confirms the true carat either way, so unmarked or inherited jewellery is valued accurately.

If a piece contains gemstones, we value the gold only as most gemstones have little onward value. We will accept them if you do not wish to remove them yourself. If we can find a buyer for your stones, we will make you a separate offer (this is more likely for bigger stones, depending on cut, colour and clarity).

What about jewellery with gemstones?

If a piece contains gemstones, we exclude their weight from the assessment as most gemstones have little onward value. We do advise you remove them before sending your jewellery to us if you wish to keep any gemstones, or they can be returned to you for an administration fee of £15. If we can find a buyer for your stones, we will make you a separate offer (this is more likely for bigger stones, depending on cut, colour and clarity).

Can I sell broken jewellery?

Yes. Broken, tangled and single-piece items are all valued on their gold content, so condition makes no difference to the price.

Do I need hallmarks?

No. Our XRF assay measures the gold content directly, so unmarked and worn pieces are valued accurately.

Can I mix different carats?

Yes. Send everything together; we separate and weigh by carat and price each at the correct percentage of spot.
